Recycled PURE125... How Does It Work?
100% POST-CONSUMER PLASTIC MATERIAL
We're proud to have introduced a recycled version of our PURE125 material in 2019 for all European-made sublimated gear.
Are you as curious as us, wanting to know exactly how recycled material is made? If so, you're in luck!
As you can see in the diagram below – plastic bottles are sorted, washed and chopped into flakes (1), which are then blended, melted and turned into chips (2). The chips then go through an extrusion and texturing process and get transformed into fibres (3) with inherent properties, such as moisture wicking and thermal regulation. Our fabric is weaved using these fibres (4).
HOW CAN I TELL IF MY JERSEY IS MADE FROM RECYCLED PURE125?
It's important to us that you to know how your gear is made.
All Lookfly sublimated products are made in the EU, giving you peace of mind that your gear has been made ethically, and to the highest standards.
In addition to the subtle Lookfly logos on our team gear, our Recycled PURE125 carries a small, green label on the side seam so that everyone knows the score: that you and your team have decided to make a difference and go GREEN!
